So why exactly was Kurt arrested? The dog in his lap is a jailable offense?
No, that is not an offense at all. He was not arrested for that.

Kurt can receive mail at:
Kurt Hoffman 45660 HCDC 445 Willow Street Manchester NH O3103
The drone on the phone said that he'd "been receiving calls all day." Keep up the good work, folks!

If you watch the video of his Keene arraignment, you can hear the judge specifying the conditions of bail. I recall it was the standard stuff. It would be a violation of bail conditions to commit a misdemeanor or felony, but not a violation. Stuff you get pulled over for like speeding is almost always a violation, but if he refused to cooperate then more likely than not he would have been charged with a misdemeanor.

Vesuvius,
Considering he was arrested the first time I believe for "disobeying an officer", this time may have been for the same, since this time he also did not hand over "his papers".

Of course, the question they will never answer is how the obligation was created for him to obey. Although you could point out they answer how the obligation is created by their actions - you are obligated by the gun on their hip and the waiting jail cell to do what they say.

According to officer Uber, Kurt has been "booked" with an arranment for Mon. ( they didn't give me a time.) No bail set. He is still in a holding cell.
The court will open around 08:30 and get started sometime after 09:00 when the judge finally deigns to grace the court with his presence. The court clerk spends the time beforehand calling on people to see if they’re there or not, seeing if they want an opportunity to “speak with the prosecutor” (deal), &c.. Arraignments aren’t usually scheduled—once the judge is in, they just start calling people up in whatever order they choose, usually alphabetical but not always. Here is the court location for Nashua district.

Kurt's method is not the one I would choose, that being said, I like that we have a person like Kurt doing civil-dis. He adds yet another color to the rainbow, if you will. Varied tactics is a sound strategy.
I just wish I had his courage and conviction.
Free Kurt!

Kurt is a lot less combative than he was the last time, and expressed himself in a manner that seemed as if he was, quite literally, being pulled over by a random person making unreasonable demands.
that seems perfect when i was driving a junker in california before i got to nh .... i was planning on just driving to my destination (slow speed chase style) instead of pulling over for the blue light gang

Just spoke with Aubern, who got in about one minute of a collect call before the phone cut out. Kurt says he's doing OK (though I'm not sure how much of that is his characteristic bluster), though he may be in quarantine for refusing the TB test. Visiting hours, etc., are still unknown. Aubern should be arriving at Social Sunday around 6 o'clock. More details as I get 'em.

Can someone list the charges Kurt was arraigned on this morning? I know it was in Barskey's 411. Kurt might be gone for a while Especially if they find him guilty on assaulting a police officer.

1- violation (unsafe driving for a dog riding in his lap.) 3- class A misdemeanors : 1) disobeying an officer- not following orders to show "papers" ie: D/L- Registration 2) resisting arrest ( he wasn't told he was being arrested.. they just did it.) 3) assaulting an officer by rolling up the window on the officers arm when he reached in to open the door. (again.. he wasn't even told he was being arrested) Also: it was mentioned during the arraingment today that no other records were found in NH.

How does he plan to prepare for trial (getting the video evidence, etc) from jail?
I'm sure nobody knows the answer for sure. Just throwing it out.

Can any of the video refute this? Also: it was mentioned during the arraingment today that no other records were found in NH. Records of what?
