Who wants to jump in the ocean on December 31, 2009? I do! Let's have a New Year's Polar Plunge. Some of us did it last year on December 31, when Will "Walk For Liberty" Buchanan touched the Atlantic Ocean to finish his journey and begin his life in NH. Let's make it a tradition. Let's ring in the new calendar with a splash - an icy-cold splash.

I'd love to have a party afterwards, but I don't have a venue. If someone can think of a restaurant or club or someplace to hang out and eat and party after the Polar Plunge, please suggest it.

Sadly, I think I'll be busy in a warm house that day Wink

We'd be willing to host an after-party, but we're almost an hour from the ocean.

Alternately, we could chop hole in the ice in the lake, here, and then have the party afterward.  Might be interesting to have a roaming polar plunge thing, instead of always doing the ocean.

I doubt my car will be back in action by then since I'm in Atlanta the 22nd-29th but I'd probably be up for it if I can get a ride and if the after-party sounds fun. I bought some swim shoes specifically for that purpose. I did the first FSP polar plunge when I was still in Stratham. I think it was the first anyway.

Sounds a tad bit chilly. Why such a cold tradition?  Smiley

Maybe we can get Max to hold a party for it in Seabrook.  Undecided If not, Maineshark's place could be ftw. I'm up for pushing the plunge though I doubt I'll get anywhere near the water (re: in the water). Tongue

I don't appreciate Max's divisive and confrontational actions, among other things. If he hosts a party and you go to it, I hope you have fun, but I will make other plans.

I can't understand why Max continues to focus on division.  We're all on the same team.

I'm not one to party at Max's that's why I left, Maineshark's place is great as the party central, it was just a suggestion brother. I'm with u regardless but let me know where you plan to be and the place to party at. Smiley

Edit, Max is just a sideshow memory to me.
