Called, asked them to take care of my friends. If they cannot pay, they will go in front of a judge tomorrow. A friend told me they allegedly had a firearm, and pot. I forgot to confirm if this was true.

NATURAL LAW Do not do unto others what you do not want others to do to you. Do not commit fraud. Do not encroach on other individuals or their property.
PeacEthic-the ethic of minimizing the use of, and reliance on, all forms of force, while promoting incentive based non-coercive problem solving and conflict resolution, in public and private spheres of life in place of the punitive and coercive methods relied on today. Peace ethics are a philosophy of life. It is a practical blend of nonviolent activism (Soul Force) and lifestyle dedicated to the idea that the ENDS WILL ALWAYS BE INFLUENCED BY, AND FREQUENTLY DICTATED BY THE MEANS USED TO PURSUE THOSE SAME ENDS.

i posted this on facebook right after i called. i don't feel like typing it again, so this is from a few hours ago:
so i just called... the guy let me get out about 5 words, then just started saying "yep, yep, yep" to drown me out. and so finally i just said, "you should be ashamed." here was the cop's reply:
"you should too. stop calling here or that'll be harassment."
then he hung up on me...
so... this was the first (and only) time i called. now he is threatening me with being charged for a "crime" of harassment for calling to ask if my friends are ok, then being interrupted, treated very rudely, threatened, then hung up on... by a "PUBLIC SERVANT". yep, harassment indeed.
everyone keep calling non-stop, but be sure to push *67 first (it will block your phone number from caller ID... cops can probably still trace it, but it'd be too much time/effort for these lazy guys who can't even take the time to attempt a conversation. just threaten, hang up, move on... thats all they know.

That sounds like the mass-mentality Meg. Quite offensive, it is. I fear for whomever was charged with the firearm possession. I know Mass has a mandatory minimum for that stuff...... Welcommne to Massachusetteks, yah?

He just called in: http://nh.porcupine411.com/2010/07/01/audio-message-from-masscommonweal-4137745537/He says his bond has just been reduced to $500 from $2500. When I talked to him last night he was in the State Police Troop B-2 barracks in Shelburne Falls, MA. 413.625.6311 but I'm not sure he's still there this morning. When we got off the phone he said that they were taking him elsewhere.

*ABSOLUTELY NOT TRUE* Most police stations etc get full ISUP information, not to mention it's easy enough for them to just call the phone company or *57. Chapter 269: Section 14A. Annoying telephone calls Section 14A. Whoever telephones another person, or causes any person to be telephoned, repeatedly, for the sole purpose of harassing, annoying or molesting such person or his family, whether or not conversation ensues, or whoever telephones a person repeatedly, and uses indecent or obscene language to such person, shall be punished by a fine of not more than five hundred dollars or by imprisonment for not more than three months, or both. http://www.mass.gov/legis/laws/mgl/269-14a.htm

Article XVII. The people have a right to keep and to bear arms for the common defence. And as, in time of peace, armies are dangerous to liberty, they ought not to be maintained without the consent of the legislature; and the military power shall always be held in an exact subordination to the civil authority, and be governed by it. http://www.mass.gov/legis/const.htm

Just posted this to http://facebook.com/peteeyreUPDATE on Rich Paul & Mark Capuzzo - just got off the phone with Franklin Co. Sheriff's Office ( http://www.fcso-ma.com/directions.html) and was told the following: -the pair was brought to court this morning around 9am -they both still have $2500 bail (which counters early statements of Rich's bail reduction to $500) -charges they face "can't be released" -bail has to be paid in-person with either cash or a certified check Anyone in the area have the time/ability (PayPal account or willing to share mailing addy to recoup money later) to act as the point-person? Of course we should continue to call the kidnappers to ascertain if the fate of Rich and Capuzzo post-court.

In the past Rich has wanted bailed out, and if I recall correctly, he has paid back the bail that was put down the last time he needed it directly to the individual who fronted the money.
