I've gotten ahold of Marc Stevens about Sam. He is concerned and wants to know what's Ivy's contact information. He would be interested in writing a writ of habeous corupus. I know she said she would be doing that if she had to. I just thought marc stevens could be of some help.

I know someone mentioned that now the ball is in our court. I think it would be a good idea to make sure that when the ball is in their court, they are only able to chose from the options we have given them.

Do you think Sam would consent to come to an interview if I set one up with the jail?

He would not come see his last visitor. So based on that information, no.

Assuming that the jailers are telling the truth.

Listening to FTL ... It seems like the cops are playing a waiting game. To counter that, we need to bring pressure to bear - constant and ever-increasing pressure.

I wonder if we should call news organizations, the ACLU and similar organizations, etc?

I wrote Sam a letter and am asking ppl to do the same via my blog and my 1K person twitter network. Tomorrow I'll call the jail and probably write about that. I'll make a donation to the CD Network (if PayPal will work with me, dislike them).

What else? From afar this seems like the road to success is all about getting the word out (unless Ivy's Habeas Corpus petition works - hope so).

If you can, please donate to Ivy.  Her paypal is Ivy@IvysSpiceofLife.com  Just trust me on that.

Oh they ALWAYS tell THEIR version of "truth" don't they...  you know, the one that suits the revenue agent team best.

If we could show up at the jail with possibly press and a number of us there...  I'm just saying.  I don't know how many of us they would let in but I'm sure we would still be outside with signs etc...  maybe he might come down...  maybe not.  I think he is in it until they collapse.  Signs through the windows for a while before might help.

If you can get in, Kat, that would be great.  However, until he processes, they will only allow him to speak with legal counsel.

Agreed with Puke's statement.  Two things, I didn't go there as a "visitor", I went there as his retained legal assistant and counsel.  I can not confirm that they told him "Ivy Walker is here to see you" or "your lawyer is here to see you".  I'm fairly certain if they told him the latter, he probably did refuse, as Sam probably wouldn't want a member of the bar representing him.  They may have said I was there, but he had to do XYZ in order to see me, again I do not know.  There is too much that no one knows to be speculating so much.

For now, I have three messages in with Van Wickler.  I had spoken to him directly on Tuesday, which is when he had asked when I wanted to come in and see Sam, but since then I have not been able to contact him and he has not returned my calls.  The Sargent I spoke with today said his office is actually in Keene, which is where she directed me to leave him a message, but she got flustered and upset and didn't know what to say and hung up on me after I asked what the address of Van Wickler's office was.  If anyone knows that address, let me know asap.

Update on the motion:  the appearance was denied until I get something signed by Sam to say he wants representation by me, so not sure what to do if he can't/wont see me at this point except appeal it on certain grounds, and push the writ of habeus at this point.  So I'm working on that from up here for the moment.  I'll be down as soon as I can.

I wonder if he is eating........

tito, thank you!!  I was going to see if I could contact Mark Stevens too, and also Rule of Law guy... umm... Randy? (ugh I'm so bad with names...)

Call me at the restaurant, as I am still here at the moment.  744-3210.   I certainly could use help with the writ.

Contacting Marc Stevens is a great idea. I heard him speak at the LF. I'm sure any input from him would be very helpful.
