Do you think Sam would consent to come to an interview if I set one up with the jail?
If you can get in, Kat, that would be great. However, until he processes, they will only allow him to speak with legal counsel.
He would not come see his last visitor. So based on that information, no.
Assuming that the jailers are telling the truth.
Agreed with Puke's statement. Two things, I didn't go there as a "visitor", I went there as his retained legal assistant and counsel. I can not confirm that they told him "Ivy Walker is here to see you" or "your lawyer is here to see you". I'm fairly certain if they told him the latter, he probably did refuse, as Sam probably wouldn't want a member of the bar representing him. They may have said I was there, but he had to do XYZ in order to see me, again I do not know. There is too much that no one knows to be speculating so much.
For now, I have three messages in with Van Wickler. I had spoken to him directly on Tuesday, which is when he had asked when I wanted to come in and see Sam, but since then I have not been able to contact him and he has not returned my calls. The Sargent I spoke with today said his office is actually in Keene, which is where she directed me to leave him a message, but she got flustered and upset and didn't know what to say and hung up on me after I asked what the address of Van Wickler's office was. If anyone knows that address, let me know asap.
Update on the motion: the appearance was denied until I get something signed by Sam to say he wants representation by me, so not sure what to do if he can't/wont see me at this point except appeal it on certain grounds, and push the writ of habeus at this point. So I'm working on that from up here for the moment. I'll be down as soon as I can.
I wonder if he is eating........
